Collingwood Farmers’ Market

by Gary McWilliams (aka Festival Nomad)

Judi and I enjoy exploring Farmers’ Markets!

One of the best I have visited is the Collingwood Farmers’ Market.

The market is located in the downtown area of Collingwood.

And is open from the end of May Victoria Day Weekend to the October Thanksgiving Weekend.

What I like most about this Farmers’ Market is the diversity of vendors.

It’s great to see how many local vendors there are that participate.

One of the things I enjoy is how Farmers’ Markets change throughout the seasons.

The Collingwood Farmers’ Market is a prime example of this!

The spring brings out a lot of crafters.

Many have worked the whole winter to create their amazing products!

The summer months showcase the wide variety of products available in the area.

As you can imagine, fall is my favourite time to explore!

It’s not just the assortment of freshly harvested produce…

… but the array of spectacular colours!

The coolness of the air…

and the smell of freshly baked goods!

Frankly,  fall at a Farmers’ Market is is the perfect combination of all of these wonderful elements… sights, sounds and smells!

No, we don’t want spring and summer to pass too quickly, BUT…
